Oita prefecture in Kyushu is famous for its hot spring. Within Oita, residents in the city of Beppu are blessed with high quality hot springs right on their doorstep. Amongst the spirals of steam, ECO-R sharehouse opened its doors in 2010.
It still smells new, and the brightly-coloured interior is fun to look at. You can relax here and soon break the ice with your housemates. Shopping is easy with a street full of shops nearby. Get some of Oita’s delicious seasonal produce and have a party! A short walk away is a view of the vast Pacific Ocean. Start your day positively by waking up early and watch the sun rise above the horizon. Communal areas are cleaned by maintenance staff. This keeps the house clean and tidy. The other feature of the house is its emphasis on eco-friendly living. Solar panels produce electricity, some of the profits from this are used once a year to buy communal products for the house. The more you can save money on bills, the more expensive the product you can ask for! Also, there is an electric Leaf car which can be shared by housemates. On days off, head to an onsen with friends. Soak in a bath and completely relax your body and mind. Each of the rooms are fully-furnished and come with air-conditioning, beds and curtains and etc - no need to spend a lot of money before you move in.
