Sapporo Nijo market sells the freshest seafood caught all over Hokkaido. Right next to this market, often called Sapporo’s kitchen, is BUIE Gakuenmae. From the outside the building looks a little old, but when you go inside you see a fully-renovated interior with brand new furnishings and fittings. It is a wonderful surprise and contrast.
Communal space is covered by two rooms on the second floor. The first room is a very spacious kitchen, dining and living room designed to accommodate a gathering of more than 20 housemates. 4 refrigerators are supplied, as well as cutlery, crockery and cooking appliances. You can sit at a table or on the tatami mat floor, choose whichever you are comfortable with. At nighttimes, housemates naturally assemble here. It is always a warm and comfortable environment. The knowledge that if you come to this space, you will have someone to talk to is a great relief for people living alone for the first time. The other communal room is a study and book corner. It is like a meeting room, which any housemate can use freely. All washing facilities are fully-refurbished. The bath and shower, cleaned twice a week by a professional, are always immaculate. Various room types are available. Being able to choose according to your budget is a great advantage. Of course, beds, air-conditioning, tables, lighting etc, all the basic necessities are provided. The sharehouse is in a great location, just a 10 minute bicycle ride or a 20 minute walk from the centre of Sapporo. The bus-stop, a 2 minute walk away, provides access to countless destinations. Supermarkets, 100 yen shops, convenience stores, bars and restaurants are near the house making your life easier.
